These are the rules for using Punchlyst. Punchlyst is a side project run by one person, not a company. "We" just means me. By using it, you agree to them. If you use it for your firm, you agree for your firm too.

Your account

Keep your sign-in safe. You're responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us right away if someone else gets in.

Your stuff is yours

Your videos, photos, drawings and punchlists belong to you. You let us store, process and send them only so we can run Punchlyst for you. See our Privacy page.

Sending texts and emails

When you add a contractor or sub and send them a list, Punchlyst texts or emails them for you. You promise that:

• You have a work reason to contact them, and they've agreed to get messages from you about the job.
• You'll only use Punchlyst for job messages, never for ads or spam.
• You'll stop sending to anyone who asks you to stop.

Anyone can reply STOP to stop our texts, or HELP for help. How many texts they get depends on how many lists you send. Message and data rates may apply.

Check the list

Punchlyst uses AI to turn what you say into items. AI can get things wrong or miss things. You're the professional: check the list before you send it. Punchlyst is a tool. It doesn't replace your judgment, your contract, or your duty to inspect the work.

Don't

• Break the law with it, or upload anything you don't have the right to share.
• Try to break, overload, or get around the security of Punchlyst.
• Copy Punchlyst or resell it without our OK.

Paying

Punchlyst is free. If that ever changes, we'll tell you first, and you can choose to stop.

Ending

You can stop any time and ask us to delete your data. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. If we shut down Punchlyst, we'll give you at least 30 days to download your data.

No promises

We work hard to keep Punchlyst running, but we provide it "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or lost-profit damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months, or $100 if you paid nothing.

Changes

If we change these terms in a big way, we'll email you first. Using Punchlyst after that means you agree.
